Gisele Bündchen is Leaving Victoria’s Secret
Some news reports, including New York Post’s Page Six (who were unable to get responses from either Bündchen’s reps or from Victoria’s Secret), are concluding that her decision to leave the company was solely because Victoria’s Secret wouldn’t raise her $5 Million a year salary. However, there is still more to the story. Gisele has hinted at needing a change more than once. Last November, at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles, Bündchen told PEOPLE magazine, “I would like to have different chapters in my life. I mean let’s be honest – I do this because it’s my job.” She also confided, “I’m not this girl all the time. People have a perception of me because of Victoria’s Secret that I’m sexy, but I’m not a sexy girl. I’m very tomboyish.” Negotiations over her salary as well as these other factors were all reasons for the mutual decision not to renew Bündchen’s contract.
As for official statements, the Victoria’s Secret chief creative officer, Edward Razek, said “the long and fruitful relationship between Gisele Bündchen and Victoria’s Secret has reached a conclusion. We wish her all the best and thank her for her extraordinary work. She will continue to be a visible part of the world’s sexiest brand through the remainder of the year.” Gisele’s sister, Patricia Bündchen previously confirmed to a Brazilian website that contract renewal talks had broken off. Bündchen’s agent also gave confirmation to PEOPLE magazine that “Gisele’s contract is finished.”
At the last Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Bündchen complimented the brand by saying, “They’re really nice clients. I’ve been working with them for seven years, so it’s kind of like they become part of your family.”

I am disappointed in Ms.Bundchen leaving VS.However, if Victoria’s Secret maintains their professionalism in their model selection criteria, We, as clients, will enjoy their choices.
I purchased a two-piece suit a few years ago as a uniform for my Wedding Planners. They have discontinued the line. That was really a disappointment! May they continue to maintain high standards of excellence.
I’m sad to see her go….she was a part of Victoria’s secrets and now that she is gone it feels like part of it is gone and it wont be the same.

i will miss gisele..everyone will..but we have to understand why she left…and plus there are more victoria secret angels…but definetly we will al miss her very very much
That’s okay though… she’s done a lot already. I heard Miranda Kerr will replace her as the new angel. And besides… I think Heidi Klum is about ready for another walk at the next show.
aww, that sucks that she’s leaving, but I do understand why she’s leaving. I mean, it’s good being
a model, but when your doing it for a looong period of
time it actually gets kinda boring! I mean no one wants to be a model for the rest of their LIVES. People
wanna try new things! Besides, you actually can’t be a model for the rest of your life because you won’t really look as pretty. Everyone knows that. The older you look, the more uglier you are (no offence!!) I mean you get wrinkles and your face stats to sag and there is a lot of COMPETITION in the modeling biz these days. Oh yeah, i’ve heard of that new “baby victoria’s secret angel”; MIRANDA KERR. I love her!!! She kinda looks like Adriana Lima. She’s an aussi girl and i’ve heard she’s also persian!! That’s awesome!!!

they should make heather marks an angel too because jessica stam got to wear the angel wings i think that she (jessica) doesn’t fit in so heather should get angel wings an be in the next vs fashion show.
Gisele is one of my favourite models, but Ana Beatriz Barros is my total favourite. I hope that Ana Beatriz Barros the new Angel is..

Doe’s anybody know if Gisele will be walking in the next 2007 Victoria’s secret fashion show I mean they did say “She will continue to be a visible part of the world’s sexiest brand through the remainder of the year.” and the fashion show air’s in december, but is taped in November?
I think Gisele difinetely must be back at this show, because the show is not going to be so spectacular without her. I hope mr. Razek will change his minds and give her what she wants, she deserves it. My favorite models are Gisele, Adriana, Tyra, Heidi and Doutzen of course. I hope to see them in 2007 show.

I’m upset, she’s #1 on ppl i want to meet, and she’s the reason i watch victoria’s secret fashion show… and it’s going to be weird now that she won’t be an angel anymore… i wonder if she did a final walk like tyra did for them…it airs Dec. 4 so i hope she does

It’s sad to see her leave, she’s such a beautiful model. But change is wonderful and it’s great that she wants to do different things.

i didn’t like Gisele that much when she was modeling for Victoria’s Secret. She’s boring. I love Heidi! She’s so bubbly and her personality just exudes. Would love to see more of her, Adriana, Alessandra and Selita! They’re my favorites.=)
