As for the show this year, I thought it was stale. Too much of what we've seen in previous years, a formula that's grown tired, and too much undistinguished clothing featured. If the clothes are not going to be ready to wear, then they should be unique and even spectacular. The outfits were mostly poor tarty looks, nothing much you could distinguish from Frederick's or many others. So why bother? The runway looked tacky, and only a few visual designs worked. The models varied from gorgeous to unappealing, and that is a disappointment itself. Adriana L even seemed to be faking it more than genuine, and looked a bit thick in the legs. This show needs new ideas and new visual approaches, because it's grown repetitive and dull. I still remember the excitement of the first year, the way the models pumped down a long runway accentuating their legs strutting beautifully and filmed to bring drama to that.
